Security researchers found hundreds of exposed Clawdbot control servers online - some with no authentication. That means random attackers could:

• Grab your API keys and secret tokens

• Hijack your Slack or Telegram

• Read and reply to your chats

• Run commands directly on your machine

And it gets worse: because of its “localhost trust” model, one bad reverse proxy config can expose everything. No login required.

Even with a good setup, prompt injection and social engineering can trick the bot into leaking data, buying things, or deleting files.

So what should you do?

• Don’t run Clawdbot on your main device

• Treat it like an experiment (air-gapped, disposable machine)

• Never expose its dashboard to the open web

• Assume anything it can access is now part of your attack surface

Agentic AI is here. And it's powerful. But if you’re not already good at hardening servers and scanning logs, maybe don’t let it live next to your password manager.
